Rev. Andrew Walls, S. M., Spiritual Advisor opened the meeting with a prayer. Mrs. Arthur True, president of this active organization an nounced that the members had derived much spiritual and ma terial benefit during the past year. The Christmas Bazaar which i s the yearly project was most successful and funds from this affair were used to purchase a new rug for the church. The ladies also meet often and make cancer pads for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer Home in Atlanta. Still another project the group has undertaken is caring for the grounds around the church. Beautiful shrubbery and flo wers have been planed to en hance the church yards and the ladies alternate in caring for the gardens. Brunswick Altar & Rosary The Altar and Rosary Soc iety of^St. Francis Xavier Church held their monthly meeting on Wednesday evening, May 20th in the school audi torium, with Miss Mary Par ker presiding at the business meeting. Rev. Paul Burkort, S. M. pastor, expressed his appreciation to the ladies for the splendid work they had done in caring for the sanctuary of the church and also com mented on the "Organization's growth in spirituality". Catholic Women Hear Reports SAVANNAH, Ga. - The An nual meeting of the Catholic Woman’s Club was held Tuesday evening, May 9th, in the Club Rooms. Mrs. Rudolf Heitmann, Vice President, presided at the Meeting in the absence of Mrs. John Buckley, who was ill. She called upon all officers and committee chairmen, who gave their annual reports. Miss Mar garet Collins, Chairman of the Fashion Show, to be held Sat urday afternoon, May 12th, at 3:30 at the Manger Hotel, urged all members to attend and bring along their friends. Mrs. Meta Blackburn, Secretary, read the President's most interesting Annual Report on the activities of the Club, including Civic, Educational, spiritual and so cial. The Vice President re ported on a very good at tendance at the Corporate Com munion and Continental break fast held Sunday, April 29th, at the Blessed Sacrament Church. Mrs. George Ebber- wein, Delegate from the Club at the Diocesan Convention of the N.C.C.W. at Augusta, held recently, gave a very interest ing and complete report on the Convention.
