SACRED HEART CHURCH, AUGUSTA, GA,
All great results along religious lines, have had,
under God, their small beginnings. The Sacred Heart
Church in Augusta had its humble origin. There re
mains on the ground near the present edifice the
old Church building, in the shape of a college hall, to
remind us of former days. But e:en before the old
Church was built the regular Catholic services were
held in a smaller structure, made of wood on the site
of the present Rectory.
