After the installa tion ceremony they formally pledged fealty and obedience to their Bishop, a part of the installation ceremony. Miss Mary Buckley of Augusta ParishDies AUGUSTA, Ga—Miss Mary Buck- ley, a native of Augusta and one of the most widely known Catholic wo men in the city, died here January 15 at the age of 72. Miss Buckley in recent years divided her time be tween Augusta and New York; she was a devout member of St. Mary’s- on-The-Hill and of several Catholic organizations. The funeral was held from St. Mary's with a Requiem Mass; interment was in Westover Cemetery. Surviving are three neph ews, John T. Buckley, past grand knight of Patrick Walsh Council, Knights of Columbus, Dearing S. Buckley of New York and Clifford Buckley of Washington, D. C., two nieces, Miss Lilie M. Tinkey, St. Louis, and Miss Robert Buckley, Ur- bana, HI., and by several nieces and nephews. Brown, and several nephews and nieces. MRS. ANGIE HIGGINS OF CATHEDRAL PARISH DIES Mrs. Angie Higgins, one of the old est members of Cathedral parish, died here late in December at the age of 74. Mrs. Higgins was born in Ger many and had resided in Savannah since early childhood. Surviving are three daughters. Mrs. G. W. Hall and Mrs. F. W. Bell. Savannah, and Mrs. W- L- Warren, Tampa, and several grandchildren, nephews and nieces. The funeral was held from the Ca thedral of St- John the Baptist, with interment in Cathedral Cemetery. Broderick, Jr., widely known plumb ing contractor and business leader here died in December alter an illness which bee: me acute only about two weeks before his death. Mr. Brod erick was born in Savannah April 6, 1902, and had always lived here. His wife, Mrs. Nellie Campos Broderick, a son, two daughters, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Broderick, two brothers. Robert S. Broderick and Dr. J. Reid Broderick; and two sisters, Miss Catherine Broderick and Miss Mary Broderick, survive- He was a past president of the Master Plumbers and active in the Knights of Columbus, Elks and other organi zations. The funeral was held from (he Church of the Blessed Sacrament with a Requiem Mass; interment was in a local cemetery. WILLIAM C- RENKL DIES IN SAVANNAH William Charles Renkl. a native of Augusta, for the past fifteen years a resident of Savannah, died here late in December after an extended illness. Mr. Renkl was a widely known jeweler, and retired about four years ago; he was 70 years old. The funeral was held from Sacred Heart Church, of which he was a member. Surviving Mr. Renkl are his daughter, Mrs. Carrie Renkl Mock; three sons, W. C. Renkl. Jr.. James G- Renkl and John B- Renkl; four grandchildren and several neph ews and nieces. FUNERAL IN SAVANAHN OF MRS. NORA DALY The funeral of Mrs. Nora Daly, widow of Arthur Daly, who died late in December, was held from St. Patrick’s Church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph D. Mitchell, pastor, officiat ing. Interment was in a local ceme tery. Mrs. Daly was a native of Brooklyn and a graduate nurse: she had been a resident of Savannah for the past six years. ROBERT L. BROWN OF SAVANNAH DIES AT 70 Robert L.
