mony before the altar of the Cathe
dral of Christ the King. Miss Eleanor
Phinizy Spalding, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Hughes Spalding, and
George Springer Craft, son of Mr.
ami Mrs. F. M. Craft, were united in
marriage, the Right Reverend Mon
signor Joseph E. Moylan, performing
the ceremony.
Miss Bolling Phinizy Spalding, sis
ter of the bride, was maid of honor,
and her only attendant. Mr. Addi
son G. Smith, of Laconia, New
Hampshire, was the best man. Hughes
Spalding, Jr., and Jack J. Spalding,
brothers of the bride, and Dr. Dun
can Shepard, of Rochester, Minn.,
acted as ushers. '
Out of town guests included Mrs.
Billups Phinizy, of Athens, the
bride’s grandmother, Miss Anne Clay,
of Paris, Kentucky; Miss Nell John
son, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Stovall, of
Athens; Mr. and Mrs. James White
and Mrs. William Bradshaw, of Ath
ens. and Mr. and Mrs. Addison Smith
of Laconia, N. H.

HAGGEKTY-BROADRICK
MARIETTA. Ga. — The marriage
of Miss Winnie Grace Broadrick, oi
Marietta and Fort Valley, and
James Joseph Haggerty, of North
Adams. Mass., was performed by ‘he
Rev. Philip H. Dagneau, S.M., of Mar-
jst College, Atlanta.
Mrs. Haggerty is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Broadrick of Fort
Valley, while Mr. Haggerty is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Hagger’y,
of North Adams, Mass.
After a wedding trip to New Eng
land, Mr. and Mrs. Haggerty will
make their home in Carrolton.

SLATTERY-MORRIS
CHARLESTON, S. C.—Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas Lawrence Morris have an
nounced the marriage of their daugh
ter, Miss Marguerite Helen Morris
and Mr. Patrick Anthony Slattery.,
on June 8 at the Cathedral of St.
John the Baptist. The Bev. James
J. May, rector of the Cathedral per
formed the ceremony and celebrated
the Nuptial Mass, assisted by the Rev.
John J. McCarthy.
Miss Mary Elizabeth Morris was
her sister's maid of honor, and the
bridesmaids were Miss Mary Gene
vieve Dean. Miss Ann Margaret Carl
isle. and Miss Ula Leigh Waddey.
Joan Marie Morris, a niece of the
bride, and Ann Amelia Slattery, a
niece of the bridegroom, were flower-
girls.
John Slattery was his brother's
best man, while George Elliott Mor
ris, a brother of the bride, Hugh
B. Hennessy, and George P. Marie
were ushers.
Immediately after the ceremony a
wedding break'ast was served at the
Francis Marion Hotel.
Mr. Slattery is the son of Mrs.
Patrick Joseph Slattery, and the late
Mr. Slattery, and is associated with
Swift and Company, in Charleston.

College, were married June 8 at the
Sacred Heart Church, the Rev. James
T. Reilly, S. M., performing the cere
mony and celebrating the Nuptial
Mass.
Miss Katherine Schmidt, sister of
the bridegroom was maid of honor.
George Neusline, a brother of the
bride, was best man.
An informal reception followed the
ceremony.

SAVANNAH, Ga.—Miss Sarah
Elizabeth Floyd, daughter of Mrs.
Thomas Bourke Floyd and the late
Mr. Floyd, and Richard Bailey Tuten
were married June 8 at the Sacred
Heart Church, the Rev. Paul Milde,
O. S. B., officiating.
The bride's attendants were her
sister. Miss Frances Floyd, maid of
honor, and Miss Betty Harris and
Miss Jeanne MacLaurin, bridesmaids.
Wright Powers was Mr. Tuten’s best
man. and the groomsmen were W. T.
Knights III, William Saffold, Riehard
Walsh and Godfrey Hyrae.
Following the ceremony the wed
ding party, members of the families,
and a few close friends were enter
tained at a reception at the home
of the bride.

Mrs. Charles P. Maloney, of Wash
ington and Hollywood, Fla., an
nounce the marriage of their daugh
ter, Miss Ellen Frances Maloney and
William Francois Parker, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Eugene S. Parker, of Sa-
vanah, on June 1, at the Shrine of
the Blessed Sacrament.
The Rev. Leo J. McCormick, a
cousin of the bride, officiated at the
ceremony, and celebrated the nuptial
Mass, at which John T. Maloney, a
brother of the bride was server.
Mrs. William S. Greeves, sister of
the bride was matron of honor, other
attendants being Miss Elizabeth Par
ker, sister of the bridegroom, Miss
An Maloney and Miss Gertrude Ma
loney, sisters of the bride. Eugene M.
Parker, of Savannah, was his broth
er's best man, and the ushers were
William J. Bergin, Eugene E. Mc
Lean. Frank Cole, and Charles P.
Maloney, Jr., a brother of the bride.
A reception at the home of the
bride's parents followed the cere
mony. After a wedding trip to Flor
ida. Mr. and Mrs. Parker will be.at
home in Arlington, Va.

SAVANNAH, Ga.—Mr. and Mrs.
Herschel V. Malone announce the
marriage of their daughter, Florence
Elizabeth to Clarence Jordan on June
7. at the rectory of the Cathedral of
St. John the Baptist, the Rev. Daniel
J. Bourke officiating.
Miss Anita James attended the bride
as maid of honor, while Robert Hadn
acted as best man.

Miss Gertrude Lucille Williams,
daughter of Daniel Williams, of New
Orleans, and Russell E. King was sol
emnized at the Cathedral of St. John
the Baptist, June 15.
Miss Mozelle Buehheit was the
bride’s only attendant, and Edward
Hahn, of Columbia, was the best man.
Mrs' King is a graduate of St. Jos-
eph's Hospital School of Nursing. Mr.
King is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.
E. King, of Calhoun. S. C„ and is
connected with the Central of Geor
gia Railway in Savannah.
MONTGOMERY-DALY
AUGUSTA, Ga—The Rev. James
Greeley, S. J, officiated at the mar
riage of Miss Mary Daly and Mr.
Floyd Montgomery which took place
June 2 at the rectory of the Sacred
Heart Church.
Mrs. Montgomery is the daughter
of Mrs. Augusta Lass Daly and the
late Michael Daly. Mr. Montgomery
is the son of Mr. anil Mrs. H. T.
Montgomery.

Bernard DeViveriros. manager of
the Americus baseball team, acted as
best man.
Mr. and Mrs. Bavasi will make
their home in Americus, where Mr.
Bavasis is business manager of the
Americus baseball team.

Miss Virginia O'Brien was the
bride’s maid of honor. Mrs. Joseph
B. Sotille was the best man.
Mr. McAlister is the son of Mrs.
Cary Lane McAlister, of Birming
ham, and the late Mr. Archibald Mc
Alister.

Mrs. Heidtmann is the daughter of
Mrs. Thomas H. West and the late
Mr. West. Mr. Heidtmann is the son
of Mrs. E. H. Heidtmann, and the
late Mr. Heidtmann.
Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Haynes, sister
and brother-in-law of the bride, were
the only attendants.

here is the announcement made by
Mr. and Mrs. P. Francis O'Neill, of
Indianapolis, of the marriage of their
daughter, Miss C a t h r y n Frances
O’Neill to Homer S. Prater, Jr., of At
lanta. The marriage being solemnized
at the Church of St. Joan of Arc, in
Indianapolis by the Rev. William A.
Brennan, C. SS. R.. of Kansas City,
an uncle of the bride.
The bride’s attendants Included her
three sisters, Misses Anna M. O’Neill,
maid of honor, and Geraldine and
Paula O’Neill, as bridesmaids. Caro
lyn Flynn was flower girl, and
Thomas J. Phillips, of Kansas City,
was the best man, with B. S. Vermil
lion and V. P. Rind, of St. Louis,
ushers.
A bridal dinner at the Columbia
Club followed the ceremony, after
which the couple left on a trip to
California, an upon their return will
reside in Atlanta.
