ment has been received here of the
marriage in Tampa, Florida, on July
28, of' Miss Mary Josephine Frese,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Frese,
of Tampa, and Mr. Garry Aloysius
Boyle, formerly of Charleston, and
now of Jacksonville.
The ceremony was performed by
the Rev. Thomas A. Wright, C. SS.
R.. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Church, Ybor City.
Mrs. George B. Morris was the
matron of honor, with Martin E. But
ler acting as best man.
The bridegroom is the son of the
late Captain and Mrs. Garry A. Boyle,
formerly of Charleston, and a grand
son of the late Captain D. J. Boyle,
of this city. He studied architecture
at the Georgia School of Technology
and at the School of Fine Arts, Fon-
tainebleu, France. He is in the arch
itectural division of the war depart
ment. with headquarters in Jackson
ville.

Phillips was the groomsman.
Mrs. Phillips is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Mauffray. of New
Orleans, and has been residing in
Charleston for the past five years.
Mr. Phillips is a son of Mr. Charles
W. Phillips, of Charleston, and the
late Mrs. Phillips.

O'Connor, of. Little Rock, formerly

26 at the rectory of St. Andrew’s
Mr. O’Connor is the son of Ed
ward F- O'Connor and the late Mary
Golden O’Connor, and is a graduate
of Benedictine College.

Kathryn May and Harry John Mac
Donald. of New Bern.
Mrs. MacDonald is the daughter of
Mrs. Romulus Leary May, and the
late Mr. May, of New Bern. She at
tended the Sacred Heart School at
Belmont.
Mr. MacDonald is a native of New
York, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Mac
Donald, now af Asheville. He was
last year elected principal of the New
Bern High School, and is president
of the Rotary Club at New Bern.

Mr. Moluf is the son of Mrs. Zah-
lia Moluf, and the late Mr. Elias Mo
luf.

ATLANTA, Ga. — A brilliant social
event of the afternoon of August 3
was the marriage of Miss Margaret
Elizabeth Harrison, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John Mecaslin Harrison,
and Mr. Clarence Gordon Huey, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence De Los Hu
ey, which took place at the Sacred
Heart Church, the Rev. John Em-
merth, S. M., officiating.
Mrs Christopher R. Sheridan was
her sister’s maid of honor, and the
bridesmaids were Miss Kathleen
Miller, a cousin of the bride; Miss
Kathleen Burke, another cousin; and
Misses Anne Harrison and Dorothy
Harrison, sisters of the bride.
S. Reed Craven acted as b e s t man,
and the groomsmen included Law
rence Harrison, a brother of the
bride, W. T. Jordan, Jr.. Ambrose
Gegan. of Chattanooga, Christopher
Sheridan, and S. O. Franklin. The
ushers were Dr. Leo P. Daly, E. D.
Schane, A. L. Winn, and C. A. Rau
schenberg. Jr.
A reception at the home of the
bride's parents followed the cere
mony. after which the young couple
left for a wedding trip to Chicago,
Detroit, and St. Louis, where they
will visit the bride’s brother, John
M. Harrison, Jr. Upon their return,
they will make their home in Deca
tur.

Agnes Sullivan and Mr. Ralph Ray
mond Campbell were married with a
Nuptial Mass at St. Patrick’s Church,
August 3, the Right Rev. Monsignor
Joseph L. O’Brien, pastor, officiating,
with the Rev. A. W. Calner, and the
Rev. John J. McCarthy, assisting.
Miss Frances Margaret Bevis at
tended the bride as maid of honor,
while Honore Souberyrpux Campbell
was his borther’s best man. Charles
Almar Sullivan,. a brother of the
bride, and Edward Joseph Collins,
acted as ushers.
The bride, who is the daughter of
th^ late Mr. and Mrs. John P. Sul
livan, entered with her brother, Dan
iel J. Sullivan. Mr. Campbell is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Thurlow
Campbell.

ATLANTA, Ga. — Miss Rosetta
Anne Magill and Louis Michael Van
Houten were married July 29, at the
Sacred Heart Church, the Rev. Phil
lip Dagneau, S. M.. officiating.
Mrs. Archie M. Adamson was her
sister’s matron of honor, and only
attendant, while Robert A. Van Hout
en, the groom's brother, was best
man.
A program of nuptial music was
rendered by Mrs. Ernest Trotti, vo
calist, with Vincent Hurley, at the
organ, and a reception at the home
of Mrs. Adamson followed the cere
mony. Assisting in serving at the re
ception were Misses Margaret and
Dorothy Magill, sisters of the bride.
Mrs. Van Houten is the daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Au
gustus Magill, and Mr. Van Houten
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Van Houten. He attended Marist Col
lege and the Georgia School of Tech
nology, and is now director of ath
letics at Marist College.
SEALE-BEETHAM
SUMTER, S. C. — Miss Gloris Eli
zabeth Beetham and Mr. John Arthur
Seale, Jr., were married at St. Anne’s
Church, July 19, the Rev. Charles
L. Sheedy, officiating.
Miss Gustaya Green was the maid
of honor, and the bridegroom was
attended by E. H. Lynam, Jr., as his
best man. John Humphries and Hugh
Bradford were the ushers.
Mrs. Seale is the oldest daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Beetham,
while Mr. Seale is the oldest son of
Mr. and Mrs. John A. Seale.

SANDERSVILLE, Ga. — Mr. and
Mrs. Bryan Watkins Cox, of Sanders-
ville, announce the marriage of their
daughter, Miss Mildred Cox and Mr.
Roger Walton Stembridge, of Mil-
ledgeville, which took place at the
rectory of the Sacred Heart Church,
in Milledgeville, oh July 20. with the
Rev. James King officiating.
Mr. Stembridge is the son of Mrs.
Mary Leverette Stembridge. of MiU
ledgevilie, and the late John W. Stem-
bridge, both representatives of pio
neer families of Baldwin County. A
graduate of Georgia Military College,
and the United States Military Aca
demy, at West Point, Mr. Stembridge
is resident engineer at the Georgia
State Hospital.

BRUNSWICK. Ga. — The marriage
of Miss Josephine Penn, daughter of
Mr. Fitzhugh Lee Penn, of Monti-
cello, and Mr. Augustus Owens, of
Brunswick, was performed at the
rectory of the Cathedral of Christ
the King, in Atlanta, the Right Rev.
Monsignor Joseph E. Moylan officiat
ing, on July 27.
After a wedding trip in the moun
tains of North Carolina, Mr. and Mrs.
Owens will be temporarily located
at St. Simons Island for the remain
der of the summer.
Mr. Owens, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Walter T. Owens. of Brunswick,
holds a position with the city.
