time been educated at the Home.
At the first meeting the con

the first social affair were dis
cussed.
The number at this first meet
ing was twenty, and letters from
out of town girls accepting mem

twenty-six members from many
cities in Georgia and as far away
as Brooklyn, N. Y., Toledo, Ohio,
Portsmouth, Va., St. Louis, Mo.,

MASS CELEBRATED ON
CAMPUS OF WOMEN’S
COLLEGE OF U. OF N. C.
GREENSBORO, N. C. — On As
cension Thursday, the Rev. Eu
gene Livelsberger, assistant pastor
of St. Benedict’s Church, celebrat
ed Mass on the campus of the Wo
men’s College of the University of
North Carolina for some forty
Catholic girls who are students
there.
Mass was offered on an impro
vised altar erected in the club
room of the Religious Activities
building. The congregation num
bered about sixty, as invitations to
attend had been extended to sev
eral leaders of non - Catholic
groups. The girls’ choir, with Miss
Angelina Andwotta as soloist, and
with Miss Genevieve Oswald at the
piano, sang hymns during the Mass,
arrangements for which were made
by Miss Marjorie Bryant.
This was the first time that Mass
had been celebrated at the Wo-
, men’s College.
