PRISONER OF NAZIS

SAVANNAH, Ga.—First Lieu
tenant Charles R. Ray, who was
reported as missing in action on
December 2, in France, Where he
was serving with an infantry di
vision, is being held a prisoner of
war in Germany according to
word received by his wife, the
former Miss Gloria Aprea, who
with their three-months-old child,
is making her home with her
mother, Mrs. Rita Seay Aprea, in
Savannah.
Mrs. Ray has received a prison
er of war card from Lieutenant
Ray, dated December 20, and a
letter dated Christmas Day, from
a German prison camp.
Lieutenant Ray is the "son of
Mr. and Mrs. M. M, Ray of this
city. His .father is a veteran of
World War I.
The lieutenant was wounded in
action last July, but returned to
the front after hospitalization. He
is a graduate of Benedictine Mili
tary Academy.

Teachers Association of Christ the
King School sponsored its fourth
annual Mardi Gras party on Feb
ruary 14 in the school auditor
ium.
There were many new and at
tractive booths and exhibits in
the court yard, and a spaghetti
supper was served in the auditor
ium.

SHARON, Ga. — Sister Mary
Therese, of the Sacred Heart Sim-
inary here, advises that with the
enrollment of Frank Cincevick, of
Savannah, on December 28, the
third generation of that family
was represented in the student
body.
Fifty years ago, Frank Cince
vick, his grandfather, was a stu
dent at the Seminary, and twenty-
three years ago, his father, Frank
Cincevick, Jr., was'enrolled at the
school. Now Frank Cincevick,
III, and his brother, John Cince
vick, are carrying on in the fam
ily tradition.

Degree Assembly, Knights of Co
lumbus, gathered at a farewell
supper given on February 7 in
compliment to the Rev. Thomas I.
Sheehan, faithful friar of the Sa
vannah Assembly, who was leav
ing Savannah to become pastor
of St. Thomas More Church in
Decatur.

sided, and presented the speak
ers who were the Most Rev. Ger
ald P. O’Hara, Bishop of Savan-
nah-Atlanta, and the Right Rev.

who has been appointed to suc
