ATLANTA, Ga.—In its “Pulse

November 2. The Atlanta Con
stitution published under the
heading, “Facts.” the following
letter from George Cochran,
Jr., a student at the Marist Col
lege here:
Editor Constitution: With refer
ence to a story published in your
edition of October 25, I should like
to make a few remarks concerning
the validity of certain statements
made in the story. The article in
question was “Nazi SS Troopers
Flee as Mirclc Opens Crucifixion
Wounds on Girl,” and carried with
it the by-line of Bryan Putnam.
It is not my desire to write a
letter of criticism. I wish only to
clarify a few points which could
otherwise be misconstrued.

While Harold Diltman, as a
chaplain's assistant, is no final
authority, readers might be led to
false conclusions by his words.
The word “Saint” is used too
loosely. In the Catholic Church it
is applied to deceased persons who
have been formally canonized by
the Church.
To call Teresa Neumann’s ec-
stacies "Hypnotically-induced” is
to gainsay the forceful and logical
conclusion of the Most Reverend
Josef Tcodorowics, author of “Mys
tical Phenomene in the Life of
Teresa Neumann.”
The expression, “the wafer and
wine,” gives rise to another mis
conception. The Catholic laity of
the Roman Rite do not receive
Holy Communion under both spe
cies. Teresa Neumann is a Roman
Catholic.
I am a junior at Marist College,
and interested in journalism. As a
student of journalism it is my wish
to bring these facts to your at
tention.

service men a convenient place to
check their luggage, to obtain in
formation, and to enjoy the rec
reational facilities offered by the

advised that the services rendered
at the center will now be rendered
by the club on the beach. For
