AUGUSTA, Ga.—Boy’s Catholic
High School, conducted by the
Marist Brothers, opened for the
current school term with the larg
est enrollment in its history.
When the high school began its
first school year in <he fall of
1939, forty students, bad register
ed. With the opening of school
this year, two hundred and thirty
students were in attendance, one
hundred and seventy-five in the
high school classes and fifty-five
in the seventh and eighth grades.
Approximately one-third of the
present student body are non-
Catholics.
Brother Benedict Henry has re
turned as principal, and other
members of last year’s faculty
who are on the teaching staff this
year are Brother Thomas Alban,
Brother Robert, Brother Edmund
and Brother Francis.
Added to the faculty this year
are Brother Eugene, Brother Den
is and Brother Lawrence Michael
with Father Patrick Connell, who
will teach English, Latin and
Civics, and Dennie Leonard, who
will serve as an instructor in his
tory and as director o'f athletics.

of St. Joseph’s Church here, is
again offering an accredited course
of Bible study at the Northern
Oklahoma junior college. This
will be the first time the course
has been offered since 1943. Dur
ing the first semester, the course
will be entitled “Old Testament
Studies,” and during the second
semester the course wil be “New
Testament Studies”. In Father
Leven’s last pre-war class all the
students were non-Catholics.
