Kendall Greene, of Fort Lauder
dale, and Mr. Francis Ogden
Doremus, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Estes Doremus, of At
lanta, are being married on Au
gust 30, at the rectory of St.
Anthony’s Church here, with a
reception at the home of the
bride’s* parents after the cere
mony.
Both the bride and bridegroom
are members of well-known fam
ilies. The bride’s mother is the
former Miss Jane Wootten Short;
daughter of James S. Short and
Mrs. Carolyn Wootten Short, of
the eastern shore' of Virginia. The
father of the bride Henry K.
Greene, is the son of Kendall
Greene and Mrs. Hattie Winter
Greene, of Fairbault, Minnesota.
The bridegroom's mother is the
former Miss Mary Genevieve Mc-
Adory, daughter of the late
George McAdory and Mrs. Ther
esa McAdory, of Mobile. His fath
er, Estes Doremus, Atlanta at
torney, is now serving as presi
dent of the Catholic Laymen's
Association of Georgia. The pa
ternal grandparents of the bride
groom arc the late Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Doremus, of Dallas. Texas,
and Augusta, Ga. ,
Mr. Doremus, a graduate of the
Law School of Emory University,
was recently admitted to the prac
tice of law in Georgia. He served
with the U. S. Army Air Force
during the war, being assigned ,V
the Eighth Air Force as radar ol- !
ficer in the European theatre
