a reception tendered Bishop Walsh
by the members of Bishop P. N.
Lynch Council, No. 704, Knights
of Columbus.
The reception was a part of the
commemoration of the twentieth
anniversary of Bishop Walsh’s con
secration as Bishop of Charleston,
and the entire K. of C. building
was elaborately decorated for the
occasion.
The program was opened by
tyilliam C. Ehrhardt, general chair
man of the reception committee,
who introduced Grand Knight
Daniel J. Sullivan, who delivered
the address of welcome. Other'
speakers were Father Alfred Kam
ler, pastor of St. Francis de Sales
Church, Columbia, and Bishop
Walsh.

Francis, newly elected grand
knight of Greenville Council No.
1668, Knights of Columbus, has
announced the appointment of the
various committees which will
handle various phases of the coun
cil’s activity during the coming
year. They are as follows:
Program: Francis J. McNamara,

Joyce will work with the Spartan
burg branch of the local council.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Miss Patricia
Kearns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
| Timothy J. Kearns, has left for St.
Louis to enter the novitiate of the
Sisters of St. Joseph of Caronde-
ict.
Miss Kearns, who graduated last
June from Mount St. Joseph
Academy here, is a member of St.
MaryVou-The-Hill parish.
