K. of C Advertisements
Now Adapted to Radio
NEW HAVEN, Conn.—The ma
gazine advertisements of the Su
preme Council, Knights of Colum
bus, explaining Catholic truth,
have now been adapted for radio
broadcasting in the form of one-
minute spot announcements.
Eight announcements, based up
on the current series of magazine
advertisements, arp now available
in mimeographed form for the use
of K. of C. councils and other
Catholic groups willing to arrange
for broadcasting time over their
local stations.
Adaptation of the messages for
radio use resulted from the sug->
gestion of the Catholic Broadcast
ers’ Association, whose Paul Tag-
gert has been keenly interested in
the program of Catholic truth.
K. of C. councils and individual
knights who would like to have the
radio as well as magazines used
for the spread of these Catholic
messages are invited to send their
requests for copies of the an
nouncements to the Supreme Coun
cil, Knights of Columbus, New
Haven 7, Connecticut.
The cost of broadcasting the
eight radio announcements will de
pend upon the siae of the com
munity in which the radio station
is located, its coverage and power,
the hour of the day or night select
ed for the broadcast.
Meanwhile, results continue to
pour in from the advertisements
in United States and Canadian ma
gazines, and inquiries continue to
reflect a wide variety of reasons
for which people are interested in
the Catholic Church.
For the information of those
K. of C. Councils which have radio
time at their disposal and wish to
present a Columbus Day special
broadcast, the Supreme Office will
have available a two-way radio
script which will be sent upon re
quest.
Written and designed as two
distinct fifteen-minute programs,
either one may be used, or by a
simple device of using a specially
written passage between the two,
both may be presented a* a half-
hour “show”.
