Funeral in Savannah
SAVANNAH, Ga. — Funeral
services for William L. Bodell,
who died on July 3 at the Alexian
Brothers Rest Resort, Signal
Mountain, Tenn., were held at the
Cathedral of St. John the Baptist,
with Father James H. Grady of
Rome, a nephew of Mr. Bodell, of
fering the Requiem Mass.
Present in the sanctuary were
Monsignor Joseph E. Moylan, Vicar
General of the Diocese of Sayan-
nah-Atlanta; Monsignor Joseph F.
Croke, Atlanta; Father Dan J.
McCarthy, Port Wentworth; Fath
er John A. Morris, Thunderbolt;
Father Thomas I. Sheehan, De
catur, and Father John J. Ryan,
C. S. V., of St. Thomas Vocational
School.
Mr. Bodell is survived by a
daughter, Mrs. John Bresnahan,
Augusta; a sister-in-law, Miss Anne
Grady, and several nieces and
nephews, Father Grady, of Rome,
Hugh Grady, Cletus Bergen, Mrs.
Alice Bucket, Mrs. Josephine Hes
ter, Savannah, and Mrs. Ann G.
Versaal, Wilmington, N. C. A sister
of Mr. BodeH, Mrs. A. D. Bergen,
died here recently.

MRS. TERESA PELLI
DIES IN SAVANNAH
SAVANNAH, Ga. — Funeral ser
vices for Mrs. Teresa Pelli, who
died July 9, were held at the
Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.
A native of Posrale, Italy, Mrs.
Pelli came to this country at the
age of eleven. Her husband, the
late James Pelli, was a tile and
mosaic artist here for many years.
Survivors are three sons, Joseph
J. Pelli, James A. Pelli, John A.
Pelli, of Savannah; three daugh
ters, Mrs. William Blackwell, of
Texas, Mrs. William Blase and Mrs.
James Kearns, Savannah, a sister,
Mrs. John Harabalya, Garfield, N.
J., a brother, John DelFavaro, of
Italy, and nine grandchildren.
MRS. MILDRED M. NICHOLS
FUNERAL IN SAVANNAH
SAVANNAH, Ga.—Funeral ser
vices for Mrs. Mildred M. Nichols,
widow of Lewis J. Nichols, who
died July 8, were held at the
Sacred Heart Church.
Mrs. Nichols, a native of Ellen-
ville, N. Y., had been a resident of
Savannah for many years. She is
survived by a daughter, Mrs. E. W.
Steinhauser, of Savannah.
MRS. CORNELIUS FLYNN
DIES IN SAVANNAH
SAVANNAH, Ga.—Funeral ser
vices for Mrs. Cornelius J. Flynn,
wife of the late Cornelius J. Flynn,
who died June 19, were held at the
Sacred Heart Church, Father Aloy
sius Wachter, O. S. B., officiating.
A teacher in the Chatham Coun
ty school system for many years
Mrs. Flynn retired ten years ago.

FUNERAL IN AUGUSTA
AUGUSTA, Ga. — Funeral ser
vices for John Joseph Kelly, who
died in Savannah on July 5 were
held at St. Patrick’s Church here,
Father Harold J. Barr officiating.
Mr. Kelly was bom In Augusta,
December 7, 1884, but had been a
resident of Atlanta for most of his
life.- He is survived by a sister,
Mrs. John Duffy; a brother,
Thomas A. Kelly, and several
nieces and nephews, all of Atlanta.
