Y. It is a complete Latin Vulgate Edition of the Holy Bible from the translation by St. Jerome, completed over 750 years ago. Comprising the entire Old and New Testament it was entirely written by hand by an unknown scribe iwhose 90,000 lines have left us a monument of devotion to the Word of God. GREENVILLE, S. C.—Mass is. now being offered each Sunday in the temporary chapel which is serving Greenville’s newest parish, which was established last month by the Most Reverend John J. Rus sell, D. D., Bishop of Charleston, who has appointed Father Ed ward Chmely as the first pastor. Father Chmely has been assistant at St. Joseph’s, Charleston. The property upon which the new Church of the Most Holy Rosary will be erected, consists of a large tract of land located at 3510 Augusta Road in the midst of Greenville’s modern and rapid ly growing South sfde. A house, which stands on the property, has been converted into a chapel and a rectory. The new parish, which embraces the territory south of Faris Road, numbers 396 pa rishioners, many of whom are located at nearby Donaldson Air Base. The first recorded visit of a priest to Greenville was in 1850, when Father John Barry, who later became the second Bishop of Sa vannah, visited the city and found two Catholic families there. Greenville’s first Catholic church, a wooden structure, St. Mary’s, was dedicated in 1876. The present St. Mary’s Church was erected in 1903, three years after the present pastor of St. Mary's, Monsignor A. K. Gwynn, P. A., tame here as pastor. St. Anthony's Friary, serves the Colored parish in Greenville which was established in 1939, as a charge of the Order . of Friars Minor. St. Mary’s School, in Greenville, Is conducted by the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady of Mercy. St. Anthony’s School is conducted by the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity.' St. Francis Hospital, in Green ville, is operated by the Sisters of the Poor of St. Francis. Nativity School PTA Meets in Thunderbolt THUNDERBOLT, Ga—Mrs. J.
