JOHN'S, HAPEVILLE HAPEVILLE, Ga. — Christmas Schedule 11:30 p.m. Christmas Eve., Carols 12:01 a.m. High Mass. Father Mc- Shane of the Marist Order will deliver sermons at the evening services at 8 o’clock. A tridium was held at St. John’s on December 5, 6 and 7 in honor of the closing of the'Marian Year. We were fortunate in hav ing Father McManus of Marist College preaching at these de votions. Our choir members who par ticipated in the magnificent music sung at the Shrine of the Im maculate Conception Church on Dec. 8, James Foley, Gerald Fitzgerald and Sgt. oennis Lew- indowski. These men who have been attending practices for many Antonio Aliotta Dies At Savannah SAVANNAH, Ga. — Funeral services for Antonio Aliotta were held November 26 th at the Church of the Most Blessed Sac rament. Rev. Thomas A. Brennan officiating. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Marie Rizza Aliotta; two daugh ters, Mrs. Salvatore Ricupero of Thaunderbolt, and Mrs. Frank DeCecilia of Savannah; two sons, Salvatore Aliotta and Frank Ali otta; a sister Mrs. Camela Cal- laci of Italy, and four grand children. MOTHERS HOLD MEETING AUGUSTA, Ga. — The Mount Saint Joseph Mother’s Club at its meeting in the school audi torium had as its guest speak er, Sister Marie Marce of the faculty of Mount Saint Joseph school. Mrs. Lee Ethredge Jr., program chairman, introduced Sister Marce who gave a talk on her experiences in the Islands of Hawaii. The club accepted with regret the resignation of Mrs. John Scherer and welcomed Mrs. Ray-., mond R. Loyal Jr., as its new president. The grade count was won by the second grade. If you attended the chicken supper given by the Holy Name men of St. John’s on November 21, you went home raving about the delicious meal, and the ex cellent professional-like service and efficiency demonstrated by men. Decked in their chef uni forms they put on a supper that was no less than marvelous and we ladies hope they will not dis play their culinary arts on an an nual basis only, but that they will give a “repeat performance” very soon. Chairman for the af fair was Chris Karas, and work ing with him on his committee were: Coleman Smith, Jim Clarke, and Dan Reinman. F McMahon, who spoke of the drive for Catholic literature being cur- | rently sponsored by the school children. The meeting was turned over to Mrs. Herman Turner who pre sented. Miss Barbara Jones, Al bany Woman of the Year. Miss Jones gave a very interesting talk on the cultural advantages that Albany has to offer. The attendance prize was won by the first grade.
