Now that he has been relieved
of all duties, Father Ryan said:
“It’s the first time in my life
I have had no worires. This is
what I’ve asked for. Through all
these years I’ve lived such a busy
life I didn’t have time to say my
own prayers . . . many a time
I’ve asked Almighty God for just
two years after my retirement
for a time to speak to God, to get
re-acquainted with Him. That’s
what I have now.”
Of the 30 members of his or
dination class, Father Ryan is
the only one living.
