the youngest communicant, no

lovely little May Queen, and was
attended by two first graders,

dra Flood. The Crown Bearer
was from the Kindergarten
Freddie Angeletti, by name. Ou
Church was just bursting t
over-flowing on that occasion!-
May 4, was our most solenu
day. That day saw 285 childrei
in their crimson and white robes?
and 52 adults join our Army in,
Christ in Confirmation. ~ Or
April 28, the Sacrament of Firs'
Communion was administered t(j
155 children.
In May also, the following neyj
officers of the Home & School
Association were installed: Pres
ident, Mrs. James Nixon, Vice
President, Mrs. George Slaugen
hop, Treasurer, Mrs. Patric) 1
Shea, Recording Secretary, Mrs
Joseph Spitzer and Correspond
ing Secretary, Mrs. Fredericl
Baumgartner. The Home &
School members have certainly
earned their vacation. They have
worked hard and long in the
school cafeteria, as Room Moth-,
ers, Blue Bird Mothers, Den
Mothers, their monthly bridge
parties to benefit the Associa
tion, and in their complete co
operation with the interests of
the school. The School Civil De
fense evacuation is definitely a
case in point. Six hundred chil
dren were out of the school in
less than two minutes and in
less than 20 minutes the Moth
ers had the last car on its way
to the evacuation receiving
point. Certainly the labors of the
Mothers in the school interests
are worthy of mention and c
mendation.
The Good Sisters are no\
ducting a Religious Summer
School which will last for about
three weeks. There are approx
imately 100 Public School chil
