than eight months due to eco
nomic planning, good manage
ment and the continuous and
consistent efforts of the working
men during all kinds of weather.
McAuley Hall is three stories
high and is arranged to blend
with the architectural character
of the Alumnae Gymnasium, Vic
tory Hall and the large Admini
stration Building which d o mi-
nates the group with its columned
and arched towers. All of these
buildings are fire resistant and
modern in every respect. The new
wing contains thirty-seven double
rooms besides accommodati o n s
for a number of guests. The walls
of dusky rose give an atmosphere
of warmth and welcome. The
ceilings are ecrue in color, reflect
ing a mild light glow over the
entire area. The concrete floors
are covered with linotile with
bright, cheerful colors having suf
ficient texture to make them in
teresting.
The entry vestibules are of ace
quarry with stair landings and
treads of terrazzo. The maple
doors and built-in cabinets are
filed and brought to a dull gloss
finish to match the furniture
which is modern in design.

new addition to Sacred Heart
Junior College. Father Michael
was a prominent Pennsylvania

the plan at Sacred Heart many

institutions recently erected in
this part of the country were de

Lady; it will help all toward the
goal of our earthly existence,
eternal happiness with God. Our
diocese would make tremondous
spiritual progress if there was
fervent family prayer in every
Catholic home.
The Feast of the Immaculate
Heart of Mary occurs on August
twenty-second and the feast of
Saint Pius X on September third.
It is believed that the Atlanta
Diocese is the first to have as
one of its patrons the saintly Pon
tiff, Pius X, who ruled the
Church from 1903 to 1914.
