Receive Orders
Fourth Degree
ALBANY, Ga.—G e o r g e W.
Hughey, Jr., Faithful Navigator
of the Albany Fourth Degree As
sembly reported that Nine mem
bers of the Albany Council,
Knights of Columbus, received the
highest degree of their Order on
Sunday, April 28th, in Atlanta,
when the Fourth Degree was Ex
emplified to sixty cav-didates from
over the state of Georgia. The
Exemplification was held at the
Sacred Heart Auditorium and
was fraternally dedicated to the
Most Reverend Francis E. Hy
land, D.D., J.C.D., Bishop of At
lanta.
The Archbishop Gerald P. O’
Hara General Assembly, Fourth
Degree, Atlanta, Georgia, was
host and after the ceremony en
tertained for the new Sir Knights
and their ladies and guests at the
Biltmore Hotel.
Members from Albany who re
ceived the Degree were Raymond
S. Dwornick, Lamar M. Everson,
Airman Arnoldo F. Longoria,
Frank Neill Mock, Lt. William H.
Myers, Lt. Francis E. Reynolds,
Herman L. Turner, Jr., Patrick J.
Warner, and Ralph R. Will, Jr.
Members of the Albany Assembly
making the trip with the candi
dates included George W. Hughey,
Jr., Joe L. Rau, C. H. Bell, and
John H. Ross.

SAVANNAH, Ga. — Funeral
services for William Frances
Hennessy were held April 26th
at the Blessed Sacrament Church.
Survivors are two daughters,
Mrs. W. C. Broderick of Savan

nooga, Tenn.; two sons, W. F.
Hennessy Jr. Savannah, John E.
Hennessy, Miami, Fla.; a brother,
J. H. Hennessy, Savannah, four
sisters, Mrs. Peria Barthelmess,
Savannah, Mrs. Mary H. Cashin
of Augusta, Mrs. Gertrude Kenn
edy, Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Alice
H. Curtiss, New York; 12 grand
children and a number of nieces
