Christmas Party
At Savannah
The November meeting of the
Altar Society of Our Lady of
Perpetual Help Church was held
on November 5th at the Parish
Hall, with the president, Mrs.
Vincent Cashen, presiding. A
short talk was given by the new
pastor, Father Donald Kiernan,
during which he discussed the
general meeting of the entire
parish to be held on Sunday, De
cember 10th, for the purpose of
answering all the questions of
the members. Plans for the Parish

Christmas Party were considered
and agreement reached for this
to be held on Thursday, Decem
ber 19th, in the form of a covered
dish supper, followed by enter
tainment.
The study group met at the
home of the chairman, Mrs. Paul
Williams, on Wednesday, Nov.
14th. Under the guidance of the
spiritual director, Father Kiernan,
the group was re-organized as
the Parish Confraternity of Chris
tian Doctrine. The following ad
ditional officers were appointed:
Miss Myrtle Luckett as vice
chairman; Mrs. Thomas Shaheen,
secretary; Miss Gibson LaFoy,
publicity. The next meeting will
be on Wednesday, December 11th
at the home of Miss Luckett, and
will welcome interested visitors,
as well as the men and women of
the parish. The study of Christ
ian Doctrine will begin at 7:30 p.
m. and will last about 45 minutes,
followed by a social hour.

Mrs. T. W. Kehoe
CHAMBLEE — Funeral serv
ices for Mrs. T. W. Kehoe were
held November 18th with a Sol
emn High Mass at Our Lady of
the Assumption Church, being
offered by the Rt. Rev. Msgr.
Joseph E. Moylan. Rev. John
Stapleton was deacon; Rev. Rich
ard Morrow, subdeacon.
Survivors are her husband;
daughter, Mrs. Robert Pace,
Hampton, Va., son, Mr. Martin T.
Kehoe, Nashville, Tenn.; five
grandchildren.
SAVANNAH — The regular
monthly meeting of the Knights
Auxiliary was held Friday, No
vember 22nd at the K. of C.
Hall with the president, Mis. E,
J. Deacy, presiding.
Plans were completed fo: the
annual Christmas party to be held
December 21st at the K. of C.
Hall. Mrs. A. M. Gruber, chair
man of the hospitality committee,
will be in charge of the party. A
festive buffet table will be set for
the enjoyment of all. Wives of
new members of the Knights of
Columbus and their husbands are
invited to attend.
The Knights Auxiliary will
sponsor a houseware and pie and
cake booth at the Annual Oyster
Roast and Shrimp Supper to be
sponsored by the K. of C. on
Friday, December 6th at the
Firemen’s Recreation Center.
Mrs. Mark McDonald, Mrs.
Thomas C. Kemp, Mrs. Ellis Jack-
son and Mrs. Edmund Anderson
were welcomed as new mem
bers.
Mrs. R. E. Richardson’s name
was drawn for the membership
attendance award.
There will be no December
meeting.
