High above the cave nf the
Savior’s birth the bells of Beth

in the town of David a Savior

we join the heavenly host in
praising God and singing, “Glory
to God in the highest and on
earth peace among men of good

few friendly shepherds of the
first Christmas has swelled
through 19 centuries and a half
into a countless army of followers
of the Prince of Peace. Their

Birthdays are wont to be ob

lifetime of their members, in na

kings or administration of their
rulers. The birthdays of founders
of great social movements may
be observed for a time even after
their death. Only the birthday of
Christ is celebrated the world
over for all time because he was
born to bring peace to the world
through redemption from sin.
The day of Christ’s birth! The
anniversary of Christ’s birth,
1957! How similar are they? In
what do they differ? What, has
the Savior’s birth wrought in: a
sinful world? Are there men of
good will today to welcome the
Prince of Peace as their brother
and their Savior?
