Ones eternal life, “and their sins
and iniquities he remembers no
more.”
And when the time of final har
vest comes, this mortal shall put
on immortality, notwithstanding
the power and reign of the enemy
in these bodies while mortal. For
he has triumphed over the last en
emy—death,—and is able to save
to the uttmost. So the portal of
the new Jerusalem shall be onened
to the redeemed »f the Lord; and
the welcome injunction, “Come
i i ye blessed of my Father” shall
cause every bond and affliction to
fall off; and all sorrowing and
sighing shall cease as they enter,
where God shall wipe away all
tears, Oh blessed Savior! Let us
all henceforth honor such a Savior
by obedience; counting no service
tuo dear, and no sacrifice too great
to bo offered to him to whom be
longeth all praise.
Affectionately,

I do feel to congratulate you in
that you have secured the servi
ces of our esteemed sister, R. Anna
Phillips; not only as “Business
manager,” but also as promising
to write regularly far the Banner.
Without flattery or affectation, I
wish to express my judgement as
to her superior gift in writing of
the things of the Kingdom of
Christ; indeed, her writings for
many past years testify, to this
fact.
The Baptist throughout the U.
S, have, unanimously endorsed
her, and acknowledged her wonder
ful gift. And will, doubtless,
hail with delight her coming to.
this position of more general use
fulness; and will emphasize it by
sustaining the Banner ; especially
as its columns will be guarded by
the discerning scrutiny of so sound,
bold, able, and humble staff, whose
one object will be to edify, com
fort and unite the children of God
upon the old fashioned doctrine of
the bible; rather than con
fuse and divide by contro
versy and speculation. 1 do
feel to recommend the Banner
with its improvements to the con

a card from brother Morgan
Brown, of Woodbury, Ga., stating
that his father was found dead in
bed on the morning of the 22nd.,

know how to sympathize dear
brother. R. A. P,
Elder Simms is absent on a
tour of preaching, and so far has
not sent in an editorial. If none
should appear in this number,
you may know the above is the
reason. But’jlhopeto hear from
him yet.
Elder Barwick made us a pleas

cheerful and hopeful of success
with the Banner.
Also Eld Charles Stallings made
us a visit, His sufferings and
pitiable condition, almost kills the
joy of seeing this beloved brother.

COTTON * GROWER.
The formula for making this Fertilizer was gotten up by an experienced Chemist, and not as an
experiment, but from the results of other Fertilizers made the same way, and have proven to be one of
the very best Fertilizers to be had from actual results. Therefore people run no risk in buying such
Fertilizers. While this brand is gotten up especially for Cotton, it is equally as good for Corn. lais®

which I recommend for red clay lands, as it suits that kind of soil best. I also make a very high
grade for melons,
THE GEORGIA MELON GROWER,
and don’t hesitate to say that there are no better Fertilizers to be had than the above brands.
Every intelligent man knows, that a good article of anything even if it cost a little morn, is de
cidedly the cheapest in the ending. Suppose you would pay, say four dollars a ton more for a high grade
of Fertilizers 300 lbs to the acre; would cost you only sixty cents an acre more to use good Fertilizers
and a very small difference in the yield will pay th® sixty cents many times over. I have gone into the

may be very dear in the end, and your crop depends upon the Fertilizers used to grow it, and it

To use better Fertilizers, plant less, and make it go.id, will costless to cultivate it, and

them. With the best washes for a prosperous New Year. ,
