NO. 186. — ARITHMETICAL QUESTION.
A traveler going into a shoe shop, procured a
pair of boots. The price of the boots was sls.
The traveler gave the shoemaker a SSO bill. The
shoemaker not having the change, stepped over to
a store near by and had the bill changed Re
turning, he gave the requisite amount of change.
After the traveler had left the store keeper found
that the SSO bill was counterfeit. So the shoe
maker had to make it good. How much did the
shoemaker lose ?
