fftofjs to,
For the Georgia Collegian.
Crumbled Castles.
I stood upon the ocean’s shore;
It was a dark and stormy night,
And as I heard the waters roar,
My heart beat wildly with affright.
My soul felt full, and then I cried—
“ A poet’s wreath is surely mice!”
To write an Epic then I tried—
Ala3 ! Icould not make a line.
* *
I listened to a song one day—
It seemed a escaped the bars
Os its poor prison-house of clay.
Singing, was floating to the stars.
And then I thought, a lovely song
Was waiting to escape inv throat;
I soon found out that I was wrong—
I tried, bui could not sing a note.
