The University Library
IS open every day. from 9 to 1
o'clock. No Student is allowed
to take from the Library more than
two volumes at one time, or to keep
them longer than two weeks.
We would call especial attention
to the above regulations, and appeal
to the Students to assist the Libra
rian in his efforts to preserve the
books both from injury and from be
ing lost. We doubt not there are
books from the various Libraries ot
the University in almost every stu
dent’s room. Many of the most pop
u!ar and valuable works are missing;
and it should bo the interest of every
Student to busy himself in looking
them up, and returning them to their
proper places. It is impossible to
preserve a Library int&et, without
the hearty cooperation of all who
use it; and to suffer a valuable Libra
ry to go to ruin either by careless
ness or indifference is vandalism uns
mitigated. M’hlG
