COFFEE SHOP We Appreciate Your Patronage THE WEST GEORGIAN Freshmen Buggy Rides Are Given by University System Beginning with the first quarter 1934, the freshmen entering the Uni versity of Georgia and its branches are required to tak<> a general survey of the sciences. All freshmen have been required to take a triple course in social science. This covers such subjects as history, geology, economics, sociology, and gov ernment. Mr. Bonner is the driver of this buggy. The freshmen also get a long ride over the other sciences. In the two years of junior college they must take a course in physical science and one in human biology- The physical sceince unit has some of the harder bumps of chemistry, astronomy, and geography. Human biology is dusty with the old holath class and the duster is Mr. Hart. Dr. Boyd serves the ailments of those injured in the physical science ride. Another new course, math 20, takes the place of the easier subjects of trig and analytic geometry and covers such subjects as staticistics, mensuration, investment math and some algebra. This is the anaesthetic that Dr. Boyd uses in extreme cases and has proved disastrous in several Cases al ready. Mr- Howell is partner in the crime and is reported as head repair man. All in all, the freshmen are said to be doing nicely because they know they are the center of attraction- The end of the ride has not been announced and probably is to remain in doubt.
