Womens Glee Club
Gives Dance
The Women’s Glee Club enter
tained at a dance for its members
and their dates on December 3,
at 7:30 in the Rural Arts Audi
torium. Red and blue lights pro
vided a soft background for the
dancers.
Punch and cookies were served
during intermission.
The officers of the club are: Ruth
Meeks, president; Elizabeth Adams,
vice-president; and Virginia Ram
sey, secretary and treasurer.

filled by sophomore students in the
election held yesterday are listed
as follows: Best All-Round Boy,
Tom Luck; Best All-Round Girl,
(runover between Elizabeth Adams
and Helen Mitchell); Most Popular
Boy, Aaron Buckalew; Most Popu
lar Girl, Virginia Mott; Most Ver
satile Boy, (runover between Tom
Luck and Tom Herndon); Most
Versatile Girl, Helen Mitchell;
Most Athletic Boy, Tom Luck;
Most Athletic Girl, Catherine Wood;
Most Original Boy, Jack Barnwell;
Most Original Girl, Minelle Gibson;
Wittiest Boy, (runover between
W. L. Nix and George Bagby);
Wittiest Girl, Virginia Hamrick.
The runovers are being held to
day, Tuesday, and the results will
be posted this afternoon.
Superlatives are elected each
year for pages in the college year
book. Helen Mitchell, editor of
the 1938-39 Chieftain, brought forth
the idea of having the most
“original” and thp “wittiest.”
Superlatives elected last year
were: Most Popular Girl, Betty
Rucker; Most Popular Boy, Dick
Grace; Best All-Round Girl, Doro
thy Watson; Best All-Round Boy,
Bobby Bell; Most Versatile Girl,
Arlene Phillips; Most Versatile Boy,
Horton Green; Most Athletic Girl,
Mildred Dunwoody; Most Athletic
Boy, Dick Grace.
Ciceronian Jamboree
Is Postponed
The Ciceronian Jamboree, which
was supposed to be given this
quarter, has been postponed until
the spring quarter because of con
flicting, dates, announced Gladys
Dailey, president of the Society.
This Jamboree will be given for
the entire student body.
Virginia Douglas, vice-president
of the Society, will serve as presi
dent during the winter quarter as
the president is going to teach at
Sand Hill.
