THE WEST GEORGIAN
Why Students
Came To West
Georgia College
(Continued from First Page)
College. This proves that the
former students were wholly sat
isfied after attending West Geor
gia. Also, the "recommenda
tions” given by Dean W. Fred
Gunn ansl the catalogue attracted
many students.
The other reasons given may
be incorporated into the recom
mendations given by former stu
dents, for these reasons were evi
dently the basis for their recom
mendations.
West Georgia College is a very
important link in the University
System of Georgia. It is a small,
inexpensive college and for these
reasons presents many opportuni
ties to students. The fact that it
is inexepensive gives many high
school graduates an opportunity
to attend a college of such high
standards, when otherwise they
would have to be satisfied with
their high school education. In
addition, West Georgia College
offers jobs to students who need
financial aid or who desire to
work for the experience.
Since West Georgia is a small
institution, the students feel as
though it is home—home where
everybody knows everybody.
And, indeed, West Georgia is
home to many students.
In summary, then, West Geor
gia College is about the best Jr.
College you will find anywhere.
The students, the faculty, and
the parents are well pleased with
the record set by West Georgia
in the field of education.

Sophs Give Money For Globe
The sophomores contributed
$18.75 left from the freshman
dance, to the library for a globe.
For several years West Georgia
has been trying to get enough
money to buy one. Now we have
enough and we will get it as soon
as one is available.
