“Plague Of The Nation"
Takes Honors Stunt Night
(Continued From Page 1)
and Coweta County called back
so many wonderful memories
w’ith their “Typical West Georgia
Scenes.”
If you would like to be a fam
ous star only try “Amateur Night”
given by Group III; which includ
ed Gordon County, Clayton Coun
ty, Cobb County and Ben Hill.
Group IV, including Haralson,
Coohoma, Dodge and Douglas
Counties completely convinced
you that “Getting Into Heaven”
was no easy matter.
Group V, including Heard,
Franklin, and Fulton counties
joined Group IV, including Car
roll County Town Students to
give us “The Plague of the Na
tions” —this herring—soap operas.
Group VI, had a very special
stunt figured up which they re
fused to release for publication it
was so shocking.
“Our Faculty” impersonated by
Group VII, included Whitfield,
Pike, Poke, Meriwether and Wal
ton counties shows how our be
loved faculty will look some
years from now.
The last stunt “The Georgia
Version of Romeo and Juliet” was
very cleverly presented by Group
VIII including Paulding County,
Spaulding County, Putman Coun
ty, Talbot County, Walker County
and Union County.
Junior Life
It really isn’t as dull as some
of our fellow classmen think.
With interesting classes in Art,
Music, Curriculum planning, Psy
chology, and teaching problems
to absorb our time.
Miss Woodruff is never tired;
we aren’t famous crooners but
those echoes you hear aren’t cow
boys or cotton pickers. Even
sometimes ‘‘The Whippoor Will
Calls”.
Trips to widen our views on
work done by other educators
and to add spice are such fun,
especially when dramatized by
the trip committee during sharing
time.
Juniors have quite an attitude
all their own. The work is dif
ferent from that of the Sopho
mores and Freshmen —in fact
much so exclusive that we ex
press ourselves in a theme song
to the tune of “I’m a Big Girl
Now.” It goes as follows:
I’m a Third Y ear now
I want to be treated as a third
year now;
I’m tired of doing all the things
that Freshmen do;
I’m tired of coming in as Soph
omores do
I want to stay out late and
pitch some woo —
I’m a Third Year now!
Even though we find time for
fun we are well aware of the jcl>
we have to do and how much de
pends on us. We will do all "ith
in our power to put Georgia on
the top of the “Educational Im
provement” list as well as doing
our bit toward making ours .the
best all-round state in the union.
