Cast Announced lor "The Miser
As Danny Hill Acquires Lead

On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, November
14, 15, and 16, West Georgia will be treated to a pro
duction of “The Miser,” a three act comedy by Moliere.

This French comedy classic,
under the direction of Wallace

college auditorium at K:00 p.m.
The play concerns the miser,
llarpugon (Danny Hill), who
tries to marry his daughter
Elise (Pam Kilpatrick) to o
rich old man. She manages to
bring her beau, Valere (Raymon
Rogers), into the house dis
guised as a servant. Harpagon
intends td marry the rich and
beautiful Mariane (Julia Merrie
Hall), but she is in love with
Harpagon’s son, Cleante (Jim
Neville). Other characters are
Erosine, the matchmaker (Linda
Patrick); La Fleche, the valet
(Abe Gallmen); Jacques, , the
cook and coachman (Dick Gam
mon); Monsieur Anselme, Val
ere’s father (Jimmy Todd); Mas
ter Simon (Vernon Cain); ami
the magistrate (Jay Lamb). Ser
vants are Helen Brown as Mis
tress Claude, Robert Wallace as
La Merluche, ami Dixie Waldrop
as Brindavonie. The ballet
dancer will be Jan Hitchcock.

by Mr. Gene Huck, West Georgias assembly program
