Phi Beta Lambda Announces
Initiation Of Operation BB
Phi Beta Lambda announced today its operation
88, a two-fold service project for the students of West
Georgia.
The main phase of the project
lis the erection of a bulletin
board which would show the
standings of the Georgia Inter
collegiate Athletic Conference,
jof which West Georgia is a
! member. Phi Beta Lambda
hopes that the bulletin board
will help bolster school morale
and spirit by showing West
Georgia’s position in relation to
other conference teams.
Of course, such a project is
an expensive one; and phase
two of Operation BB was de
signed to meet this expense. Al
though phase two is fund-rmsmg
in nature, it is also a service
project for the students of West
Georgia. Since many students
have shown interest in a student
directory, Phi Beta Lambda has
decided to publish one. In the
past the Circle K has published
the directory as a strictly serv
ice project; the service, howev
er, was discontinued after last
year. In addition to having the
usual names and addresses. Phi
Beta Lambda plans to include
such general data as athletic
schedules and dormitory tele
phone numbers.
Phi Beta Lambda’s directory
will involve material costs of
slightly more than ten cents per
copy and will sell for twenty-five
cents per copy, the fifteen cents
