Blood Drive
The Red Cross Bloodmobile will
visit Carrollton next Tuesday,
August 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
at Douglas & Lomason Company
on Alabama Street. The visit is
sponsored by the Carrollton
Chapter of the American Red
Cross. To help reach the badly
needed quota of 180 pints, West
Georgia students, staff, and
faculty members are urged to
participate in this program.
Typists Needed
The West Georgia College Grad
uate Program has produced a de
mand for typing service, accord
ing to Dr. John M. Martin, Chair
man of the Graduate Division.
Anyone interested in typing term
papers, research reports, and
similar documents, should con
tact Dr. Martin. The names of
typists will be made available by
Dr. Martin’s office to graduate
students needing such service.

attend to answer any questions
new students might have about
West Georgia’s musical activ

Grant to Provide
Electronics Confab
West Georgia College has received a grant under the State Techni
cal Services Act of 1965 to conduct a Conference on Electronics for
Scientists and Engineers in the West Georgia area, it has been an
nounced by Dr. Leonard R. Daniel, chairman of the Division of Mathe-
matics and Science.
The purpose of the conference
is to give a basic understanding
and working ability in electronics
to technical employees of indus
tries in the West Georgia area.
The course is designed primar
ily for persons requiring the
use of scientific instrumentation
in their work.
“It is hoped that the confer
ence will have the effect of ac
celerating the adoption of
advanced technology and stim
ulating the adoption of innova
tions leading to new processes
and products,” said Dr. Daniel.
The conference, which began
on July 25, will meet on Tuesday
and Thursday evenings through
August 24. Each session begins
at 7:30 p.m. and ends at 9:30 D.m.
All sessions are held in the air-
