to the tune of a brass band Tues

one is still sure whether or not
the unwritten rule is still in ef

the next few days, said one of the
demonstrators.
NON-VIOLENT
Organized attempts were made
to make sure that this demon
stration, even though it was ad
mittedly over a small issue,
would not turn into anything vio
lent. Campus security police at
tended in force and several ad
ministrators circulated through
the crowds, and a helmeted stu
dent billed as a member of the
“Jackson Courts Riot Squad”
added a note of humor to the se
curity proceedings by strutting
around carrying a policeman’s
night stick.

ter, and last but not least, one
lass insists that Crisco serves
the purpose. The most popular of
all tanning devices, however, is
that of H2O. The girls fill Get-Set
bottles with water, ana spray
their bodies at three to five min
ute intervals. This not only an ef
fective in giving the user a
burned body, but it also keeps her
cool.
MUSIC COLLEGE
There is always relaxing music
flowing from the sun-roof. The
only drawback is that the music
blairs from at least ten different
radios and several different sta
tions, the most prominent being
WLBB and WQXI. It is somewhat
conftsing, trying to listen to the
two stations at once. What can
one possibly think when she hears
. . . "I can never love another
after McArthur’s Park is melt
ing in the dark ...”
Even with radios, books, cards,
and magazines, the coed still
finds that her main source of
pleasure comes from her favo
rite pastime: gossip. Each day
the girls gather in groups to dis
cuss the latest happening, each
lying in such a position that the
sun will shine upon her where she
wants it most. This is called
killing two birds with one stone.
Males, wonder no longer where
the lithsome lasses are on the
sultry afternoons; find yourself a
buddy who owns an airplane and
see for yourself.
