Rain Threatens But Sun Shines for Parents' Day
Parents students, faculty and other members of the college and Carrollton
community enjoyed a full array of activities on Parents’,Day. They crowded the
HPE building Wednesday morning to hear crusader Ralph Nader deliver the main
address and to applaud as 94 students received honor awards for scholastic and
other achievements. ITien they moved to the Student Center to enjoy lunch, relax
in die French Sidewalk Cafe and admire the Student Art Exuibit. Afternoon events

included visits to campus installations, and the Student Honors Recital at 4 p.m. in
the Humanities Division Recital Hall. The rain which had threatened to fall all day
finally poured down in the late afternoon but lifted in time for the audience to at
tend the final event of the day the Faculty Chamber Music Recital without
undue interference from the weather.
