'Gate of Hell'
To Open Here
“Gate of Hell,” which has been described as one of the great films of
the Japanese cinema, w ill be shown on the West Georgia campus Jan.
13 at 8 pm. in the social science lecture hall. It is a feature-length,
ull-color film in Japanese with English subtitles about burning love
md desire that ends in tragedy.
The film is the first of a series
of motion pictures depicting the
folklore and culture of Asia.
These films are sponsored by the
Concert and lx?cture Committee
and will be offered at no cost to
the viewer.
Floyd E. Hoskins, associate
professor of history, is in charge
of the series.
SERVICE PROJECT
Larry Kilgore, an Alpha Phi Omega pledge, puts one of
three tires used for the Carrollton Day Care Certer in his
trunk. The tires were used to make swings anJ climbing
toys for the children. This was one of the service projects of
this quarter’s pledge class. APO is a national service
Fraternity and is the oldest Greek letter organization on the
West Georgia campus.

Movies Announced
For Winter Term
“Patton,” the recent award
winning movie based on the life of
the controversial World War Two
tank commander, Gen. George C.

Tea given for the faculty, and the
fashion show sponsored by
Merrell’s Towne House.
Claudia Wilkes will be DDD’s
Homecoming representative.
Friday, Dec. 3, Caren Gary will
be initiated as a Tri Delta sister.
There will also be a dinner at
Mrs. Roy Richards’ which will be
followed by a spend the night
party for sisters and pledges.
During the Christmas Break,
the Tri Deltas will be selling
credit card insurance.
On Dec. 19, there will be a tea
hosted by Karen Roach at
Castaway Shores Apartments.

In addition to the regular week
night schedule, a series of
Saturday matinees will be shown.
Among the short subjects, car
toon carnivals, spook-taculars
and other “oldies-but-goldies”
will be “Phantom of the Opera,”
“Ma and Pa Kettle at Waikiki,”
“First Men On The Moon,”
“Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb,”
and “The Little Shepherd of
Kingdom Come.”

A Visitors Information Center
to provide assistance for both
college personnel and guests has
been opened in the Bonner House
on the front campus drive by the
Public Affairs office.
The Center will provide a
central location where in
formation may be obtained about
directions to the various
academic buildings and
residence halls and the locations
