FESTIVAL
The Fourth Annual Peach
Blossom Arts and Crafts
Festival sponsored by the
Kiwanis Club will be held April
12 and 13 at Camp Eunice, three
miles south of Roberta, Ga.
HIKE
There will be a hike Saturday,
March 29 to the abandoned
Bonner Gold Mine and Buffalo
( reek Swamp. All participants
should bring a sack lunch and
meet at the math physics
building at 9:30 a m. The ap
proximate time of return is 1:30
pm
WONDERFUL WEEKEND
The weekend of April 4-6 has
been slated by the West Georgia
College residence hall
association as “West Georgia's
Wonderful Weekend.”
Events such as an egg
throwing contest, a tug of war,
a bike race, a talent show, a
dance, and movies, are
scheduled for the weekend.
Thurmond Tillman, a
member of the planning
committee said this week, “All
interested students should sign
up lor activities by Wednesday,
April 2. The deadline for the
talent show is Monday, March
31, Lists will be posted in the
dormitory lobbies.”

Joyce Kohfeldt, special
education consultant, will speak
to West Georgia College
students and teachers during a
workshop on April 1-2 in the
education center.
The sessions, beginning at 5
p in. on April 1 and 9 a m. on
April 2, will concern innovative
materials and methods for
reaching elementary level
students.
REGISTRATION PERMITS
Vehicle registration permits
will be sold daily from 8:15 a.m.
to 11:45a.m. and from 1:15 p.m.
to 4:30 at the department of
public safety. At all other times
a special parking permit may
be obtained at no charge.

ARTSHOW
The Auxiliary to the Carroll,
Douglas, and Haralson Medical
Society will present an art
exhibition and auction for the
benefit of the Medical Career
Scholarship Fund on Saturday,
April 5 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in
the education center. Door
prizes will be given at the
auction and admission is a
minimal donation of $1.50 per
person.
MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS
High school seniors and
transfer students planning to
major in music may audition
for music scholarships
Saturday, April 5, in Kathy
Cashen Recital Hall beginning
at 10 a m Application requests
for an audition may be obtained
from Dr. Robert Coe, chairman
of the fine arts department.
In addition to these
scholarships, nominal band and
choir scholarships are available
for students who are not
planning to be music majors but
who are interested in these
programs.

Gamma Tau Chapter of Alpha
Gamma Delta recently elected
new officers. They are: Laura

BAHA’I
There will be a Baha’i fireside
discussion on “The Unity of the
Prophets” on Tuesday evening
at 7:30 in conference room 3 of
the student center. Baha’i
firesides are very informal and
are open to the public.
DECORATING
The department of continuing
education will offer a course in
interior decorating designed to
provide an informal study of
baseline design, lighting and
color April 1 through April 29
The class will meet each
Tuesday from 7:30 p.m. to 9
p.m. at the Sherwin Williams
Company in Carrollton. The
course fee will be sls. Further
information can be obtained
from the department of con
tinuing education at 834-1360.

A seven-step course in
transcendental meditation will
be offered beginning March 31
through the department of
continuing education and the
Students’ International
Meditation Society.
Introductory lectures, which
are open to the public free of
charge, will be presented by
Mike Funk, a nation-wide
lecturer on Transcendentalism
and the Science of Creative
Intelligence, and Jerry Penson,
a teacher of transcental
meditation from the Students
Meditation Society and one of
the instructors for the course.

DEMOCR ATIC CAUCUS
Residents of the 30th
Senatorial District of Georgia,
who are registered voters and
who intend to support the
Democratic Party in the future,
are invited to attend the third
Senatorial District Caucus of
the State Democratic Charter
Commission at 10:00 a.m. on
Saturday, March 29, 1975, in the
Bill Arp Elementary School on
Ga. 5 highway in Douglas
County.
The State Democratic
Charter Commission must
complete work on a Charter
(new rules and regulations) for
the Democratic Party of
Georgia and make its report to
the State Democratic Executive
Committee by June 1, 1975. In
July delegate selection will
begin for a State Charter
Convention to be held in Sep
tember for final ratification of
the new Charter.
