'disgusting
caption'
The Editor:
Your caption undo- Elizabeth
Diaz’ picture was disgusting.
Your front page story on SGA
and the Greeks is inaccurate.
There are misquotes, incorrect
information, and it is my un
derstanding that Robin Stacy
never interviewed the people
quoted. There is someone in the
SGA office every day. It is no
problem in getting in touch with
any of the Senators. They are
usually in the office at one time
or another during the week. If
you tried to get in touch with
me, no message was left. I
would have been glad to call you
back.

to assure audience comfort and
safety at future movies. First of
all, no more than 250 people will
be admitted to each showing,
and, secondly, no one will be
admitted into Z-6 for the second
show until the first one has
ended. We apologize for the
problems experienced with The
Omen and hope that in the
future, with audience
cooperation, the on-campus
movies can be a more com

The editor:
Debra Newell’s article in the
April 20 West Georgian on the
war between the sexes was
excellent! In fact, it is one of the
most perceptive I have ever
read on the subject. Sort of sad,
isn’t it? The society induced
friction between the sexes, that
is.
Be sure and submit this ar
ticle for competition; in my
judgment it would win a first
place award hands down.
Good luck to you. You write
extremely well.

Schools; David Parkman;
Wayne Anderson; the fine arts

a very special “thank you” to

'non-facts'
The editor:
The following is a copy of a
LEuuERS
letter sent to Jim Dahl,
chairman of the publications
board.
After reviewing the last issue
of The West Georgian, we have
found the following:
—The headline is entirely
incorrect. SGA will not “give”
the Greeks anything. It is a
loan. Also, the amount of money
is $250 not SSOO.
—Tony Jones has never
“pitched a fit” in any SGA
meeting.
—The majority of the
senators’ phone numbers are
listed in the West Georgia
student directory.
—We don’t appreciate the
advertisement of the senators’
phone numbers to the entire
campus.
The WIST GEORGIAN welcomes letters from our readers
on topics of generol and campus interest.
Letters to be printed must include name of writer. In cer
tain names will be withheld if request is mode.
Short letters are best. All will be sub|ect to standard edi
ting for clarity and space requirements.
Letters may be addressed to: The Editors, The West Geor
gian, P. O. Box 1005, Carrollton, Ga. 30118.

—The West Georgian tried to
contact the SGA on April 18,
when every member available
was working at Z-6 for the
student body.
—We resent the implication
that we “drag in around 2:00.”
We do not have a time clock,
and The West Georgian is not
our boss.
These “non-facts” occurred
in only one edition. There have
also been other misquoted
statements in other editions,
also (February 23, 1979, for
example). We feel that Hie
West Georgian should gather
their facts correctly, and not
put “guesses” in the newspaper
without knowing the real facts.
Thank you,
Sharon Wilkerson, SGA V.P.
and Tony Jones, SGA Pres.
