Compare promises of Bill
Clinton and Jesus Christ
Bill Clinton says he
cares about us. In fact, he
has already promised a
lot of different people a
lot of different things.
In light of the fact that
no presidential candidate
has ever fulfilled every
promise he has ever made,
certain groups of people
are going to be awfully
disappointed in their hero
if he is elected.
Which ones?
So does Billy really care
about us? It’s examina
tion time. If Clinton cared
about us, he would not continually lie to the
American public concerning personal actions
and beliefs. Five examples immediately come
to mind.
Most presidential candidates are caught
in their lies after they are elected, not before.
The man wants your vote, not your problems.
If Clinton cared about us, he would not
plan on raising everyone’s taxes. Don’t we
pay enough taxes already?
If Clinton cared about us, he would advise
us to clean out the liberal, Democratic Con
gress financially raping and pillaging our
country instead of sharing their views and
trying to blame everything on one man.
Most importantly, if Clinton really and
truly cared about us, he would tell us that
I’m going to vote for George
Bush, it s an international
world now and Bush is pre
eminently qualified for that
position and Clinton is not.
Bush has had a great deal
of international experi
ence... I’m going'to stick
with him.

Presidential Election: Who are you going to vote for on November 3?
I plan to vote for Clinton.
He seems to be honest
and nice and I’m with his
views.

where we spend eternity
after we die is more impor
tant than this brief lifetime.
He would warn us, if he
cared about us, that some
day we will all have to stand
before the judgement seat
of God to give an account
of our lives and that heaven
is real but so is hell.
Well, the exam results
are in, and they don’t look
very impressive. The ulti
mate question: Would you
rather follow someone who
has lied to you or someone
who has died for you?
Jesus Christ will never
lie to you. Jesus Christ will never oppress
you financially. Jesus Christ will never ap
prove of anyone taking advantage of you.
Jesus Christ offers eternal life to whoever
will receive Him. “Behold, I stand at the door
and knock: if any man hear my voice and
open the door, I will come in to him and will
sup with him and he w|th me” (Rev. 3:20).
“Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal
men who cannot save. When their spirit
departs, they return to the ground; on that
very day their plans come to nothing. Blessed
is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose
hope is in the Lord his God, the maker of
heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in
it —the Lord, who remains faithful forever”
(Psalm 146:3-6).

Views on the Issues
Anarchy is the only real
'change' America needs
In this year of elections,
change seems to be the topic
on everyone’s mind. Even
Republicans talk about the
importance of change. Un
fortunately, there does not
seem to be anything to
change to:
The choices are clear:
George Bush, an environ
mental president who wants
to use as much oil as pos
sible; Bill Clinton, a gov
ernor who will say anything
the people want to hear in
order to get elected; and
Ross Perot, a big business
man who will perpetuate the incredible in
equality of wealth distribution in this coun
try, if he intends to do anything at all.
This type of election seems to be com
mon in the United States. Why don’t we put
an end to this madness?
Over the thousands of years of human
existence, there have been innumerable sug
gestions on how to organize society. One of
these is arfarchy.
However, the term “anarchy” in this
country has come to be equated with a total
lack of responsibility and chaos. In actual
ity, anarchy is the complete opposite.
Anarchy refers to the absence of rule.
This means no one institution has rule over
the individual except the individual himself

I won’t vote lor Bush be
cause ... he hasn’t done
anythingforus. Iwon’tvote
for Perot because he’d get
into office and quit on us. I
think Clinton is the best
candidate because he
hasn’t had a chance to
mess up yet, so let’s give
him a shot.

rather than a chaotic one.
Compared with the options of Bush,
Clinton and Perot, anarchy seems a rather
desirable change. Unfortunately, it is com
mon to look at the recent riots in Los Angeles
and believe that instances like it are glimpses
of anarchy.
However, incidents like the L.A. riots are
the result of oppressive rule rather than results
of the absence of rule. It is time for the people
of this country to demand a “true” change
rather than the change of a figurehead.
Anarchy is certainly a viable alternative.
In a country where 90 percent of the wealth is
controlled by one percent of the population,
can it get much worse?
I’m going to vote for Bush.
People don’t see what he’s
doing right now. People
aren’t seeing the rise in the
economy. We aren’t in a
recession.

Of course, as social be
ings, the society would
have a certain amount of
control over everyone, but
there would be no ruling
doctrine. This places all of
the responsibility of action
on the individual, because
there is no institution to
depend on for moral justi
fication.
In a society organized
through individual respon
sibility, people would have
to unite in order to survive.
They would have to be
come a concerned society
