Haugabrook added, “Our plans

The Heights:
Rock group
from the TV
show
By Margaret Cornelio
Staff Writer
The Heights includes music
from anew hit television show by
the same producers of “Beverly
Hills 90210” and “Melrose
Place.” The show’s name is also
“The Heights.”
The one-hour drama is pre
sented by the Fox network, fea
turing young members of a
neighborhood band trying to
pursue their dreams while ful
filling their current needs in life.
The music is very laid back.
The songs are filled with a com
bination of jazz and rock-n-roll.
The lyrics are short, but they are
still able to extend their message.
The singing sounds professional
and is actually done by the tele
vision cast.
The Heights gives listeners a
nostalgic feeling, taking them
back to the 1970’5. However, it
is music for all ages.
Songs to listen to include
“How Do You Talk to an Angel”
and ‘The Man You Used to Be.”
The Heights soundtrack is now
available in stores.
office. These responsibilities include
coordinating student development
programs, serving as a consultant to
campus leaders, registering student
organizations, and developing and
coordinating programs of cultural
interest for minority students.
When asked to give students some
encouraging words Haugabrook said,
“I would like to encourage students
to remember that their education
comes first, and it is the primary
service offered at this college;
therefore, I urge students to make
use of every resource available here
at WGC. ”
“I encourage students to realize
the college experience is more than
just academics. A social life, extra

Joe Pesci hysterical in 'My
Cousin Vinny'
By Nancy Karas
Staff Writer
“My Cousin Vinny” is an all
around great comedy.
Ralph Macchio plays a college
student from New York who heads
to the South with his best friend on a
little vacation.
The two end up in a small town in
Alabama and are charged with the
murder of a convenience store clerk.
The only lawyer they can afford is
his (Macchio’s) cousin Vinny,
played by Joe Pesci.
Vinny has had six weeks expe
rience as a lawyer but has never
taken a case to trial. With the help of
his fiance, Mona Lisa (Marisa
Tomei), they stumble over different
clues that eventually get the two
boys acquitted.
Also starring is Fred Gwynne

The one word Haugabrook used
to describe his personality is
“unique.” He described the strengths
of his personality as being a person
able, understanding, open-minded
person with a “thirst for knowledge.”
“I love talking to people who also
have a thirst for knowledge,”
Haugabrook said. Haugabrook de

too educational, which some people
perceive as being too serious

Haugabrook’s pet peeve is people
who have an apathetic feeling to

His hobbies include tending to
plants, listening to classical jazz
