Students have been experi
encing a rash of car
vandalisms in the past three
weeks according to Public
Safety officers, but only one suspect

Capt. Swain Harris of WGC’s De
partment of Public Safety. “He fled
back into the woods behind Tyus
and was apprehended behind the
Education Center.”
That is how Harris described the

West Georgia College’s 1992
homecoming ended last Saturday,
Oct. 31, with halftime festivities
emphasizing a Halloween flavor .
The large crowd was entertained
by the West Georgia College Gulf
South Sound, performing theme
songs that included “Thriller” and
“The Addams Family” while wear
ing monster masks.
During the procession of the
homecoming court, the WGC band
performed “Everything I do I do it
for you.”
“We came through very well de
spite all the obstacles such as the
masks and the heat,” said Randolph
Hall, French horn section leader.
Melissa Copeland and Mike
Mason were crowned homecoming
king and queen with Angela Hines
and Rob Langston placing as first
runner up.
Copeland was sponsored by Al-

Other members of the home

Dininger, Alpha Gamma Delta,
Bridget Hardaway, Alpha Phi Alpha,
Debbie Ingle, Chi Phi, Wes
Simmons, Kappa Sigma, Delmas
Watkins, Black Student Alliance and
Geer Whitney Tau Kappa Epsilon.
Members of the homecoming
court were selected by a panel of
judges at last week’s homecoming
pageant which was held at the Per
forming Arts Center.
“I thought the pageant was nice
and I liked the comedian, but it was
too short with not enough competi
tions,” said John Tisinger, broadcast
major and freshman at West Georgia
College.
On Saturday morning, there was
a parade down Maple Street that
started at the parking lot of A & P
