The Oak Mountain one-room schoolhouse made famous by Norman Rockwell’s
classic painting has been recreated in Education Building. “It has really brought out
the spirit of the Centennial for us," says Dr. Kent Layton. “This exhibit will keep on
growing. It’s very special.”

Condolences Card at a remembrance service for the victims of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and
State University held at the University of West Georgia. The card will be sent to Virginia Tech at
the end of spring semester in an effort to demonstrate the compassion the UWG community
feels toward Virginia Tech students, faculty and staff following the tragedy. The card will be avail
able for signing on campus in the EXCEL Center for Academic Success, Room 200, of the UCC
Building. For more information, call 678-839-6280.
