Intramural field busy with soccer and flag football

Intramural sports
have always been big at
the University of West
Georgia, and they continue
to draw huge crowds at
the games. Both men and
women teams alike go
out and give it their all
to determine who is the
greatest. However, things
are now looking different
on the field as intramural
soccer teams are sharing
the field with intramural
Hag football this year.
“We made the
sacrifice to play both
sports in order to save

It is tough for us to
schedule both sports
at the same time,
but we thought
it would be only
fair to play them
simultaneously.”

any given afternoon

intramural fields,
you can find some of
the best intramural
flag football teams
practicing for
upcoming games.

highly focused, they exude
a great level of fun. joking
about their competitors
w hile some show off skills
from years of practice.
West Georgia’s

the defense could not

now play on Tuesdays,
and compete in a very

Every team looks to win
but have fun at the tie
time.
West Georgia would be
silenced for a long time

Harding scored
16 straight points and
dominated the Wolves
throughout the second
half. They already
commanded a 46-23
lead with just over 10
minutes remaining in
the game. The Wolves
would score later in
the fourth quarter as
Poole connected with
Howard on a four-yard
touchdown pass.

Formerly known as
WUS, the Wolf pack co
ed team won the statewide
intramural championship
at Georgia Southern last
year. It was a long season,
but they believe that they
can repeat and win it all
again.
The intramural games
are played throughout
the week. Both soccer
and Hag football can be
seen Mondays through
Thursdays in the
afternoon. Admission to
all games is free.
