What must the Wolves
do to win another football
game? This was the big
question asked by the fans
and students who follow
West Georgia football
and witnessed the dismal
five-game losing streak.
However, kicker Jared
Guberman helped his team
snap the losing streak after
he connected on the game
winning field goal to give
the Wolves a 30-28 victory
at home against West
Alabama.

“Playoffs, playoffs,
are you kidding me,

infamous words of former
NFL head coach Jim Mora

As the intramural
season comes to a close,
many teams are setting their
eyes on the prize, and for
others they are refocusing
on classes and preparing to
relax on the couch.

first two drives. The offense
was unable to get anything
going, but the defense held
the Tigers to a field goal in
both possessions.
Taking advantage of
an off sides penalty. West
Alabama quarterback
James Reiter threw a 23-
yard touchdown pass to
Dwiaun White, giving the
Tigers a 13-0 lead early
in the second quarter. Led
by the impressive senior
quarterback Ryan Poole,
the Wolves came surging
offensively, driving 70 yards
in just four plays.
Poole connected with
Jimmy Howard for a 32-
yard bomb that cut into the
teams play sudden death
elimination after the
regular season is over with
the goal of establishing
league supremacy. After
winning the local title, the
championship team goes
on to play for the statewide
intramural championship.
For the women,
Fastbreak has always been
on the forefront, winning
consecutive intramural
championships throughout
the years. This year things
are still looking good for
them as they are highly
favorites to win it all.

led his team on a 10-play 76-
yard drive that resulted in a
six-yard touchdown pass
to Ron Dickson, giving the
Wolves a one point cushion.
West Geoigia suffered from
miscues on the ensuing
drive, and trailed 20-14 at
halftime.

for the first six minutes of the
