NEVER FAIL QUICKIE CASSEROLE
(This is a favorite recipe of Mrs. Frederick Ware of Augusta. She is not only a good
cook but also an author of note, having had published her witty and informative book.
“All Those in Favor Say Something”. Her book is a must for all club presidents and
parliamentarians!)
Ingredients
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 medium size onion (chopped finely)
salt and pepper to taste
1/3 stick margarine
1 can of Chef Boyardee Ravioli with sauce
(Size No. 2 Can)
V-2 cup cheese (grated)
Brown beef, onion, margarine, in pan on top of stove. Add salt and pepper. Now,
put the beef in a 1 quart casserole; add the can of Chef Boyardee Ravioli with sauce.
(Place this gently in the casserole with a spatula so as not to tear Ravioli). Put grated
cheese on top. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. This recipe serves
four. It is easy and delectable! If you serve French bread; and add anchovies, ripe
olives and croutons to your green salad, and then dress salad with Italian dressing, you
have a meal fit for a king! (Any bought Italian Dressing is o.k.)
3-STEP MUFFINS
This recipe is as easy as A,B,C. You won’t believe it! Mrs. Worth Andrews Jr. sent it
in to the Cook’s Nook. Why don’t each of you send one to the Southern Cross, Box
232, Waynesboro, Ga.?
Ingredients
1 cup self rising flour
l h cup milk
2 tablespoons margarine
Procedure
Beat together. Grease muffin tins/Bake in 375 degree oven for 15 minutes or so.
This makes 6 large muffins.

Seminar at Thomasville
In conjunction with Respect Life Week, Saint Augustine Church in Thomasville
held a seminar on Abortion Sunday afternoon. Present on the panel of speakers were:
State Representative Burton M. Wamble of Cairo-Thomasville; Father Michael Morris,
Executive Secretary of the Georgia Catholic Conference; Dr. Thomas Reynolds,
resident physician and Gynocologist; and Mrs. Margaret Nice, Psychologist. The
discussion, which was open to the public, attracted an interested audience, including
ministers, physicians, students of nursing, and women liberation advocates. Arguments
for and against abortion were brought to the floor, and while all did not agree, they
left with a deeper understanding of the problem.

the Jr. High students and their involvement in school affairs.” Following a brief
business meeting there will be a visual presentation on how the Jr. High students are
involved in varied activities, such as tutoring in primary and intermediate grades,
assisting teachers as clerks in their free time, serving as monitors and patrol, etc.
