New NCCW Sunday In October
Because the current established date of National
Council of Catholic Women Sunday always falls in
Eastertime, the NCCW Executive Committee voted
recently to change NCCW Sunday to a Sunday in the
month of October, the month of Our Lady, with emphasis
on image building and membership given to the entire
month.
Lucile Ussery, president of the Savannah Diocesan
Council of Catholic Women, has notified all diocesan
officers and deanery presidents that October 14 will be
the official SDCCW Sunday. Special prayer services,
pamphlets, and program ideas to use in the celebration of
SDCCW Sunday have been issued.
Mrs. Ussery urges all ladies of the diocese to consider
joining their local CCW in its celebration of this special
day. Watch your parish bulletins for announcements of
special events planned locally.
