GAMA PRESIDENT — John Taggart, a Junior at Benedictine in Savannah, was elected State President of the Georgia Associa tion of Media Assistants for the 1990-91 school year. Among his duties, John will be responsible for presiding at GAMA meetings, appointing other State officers and appointing committee chairpersons. The B.C. Media Techs, under the supervision of Brother Timothy Brown, O.S.B., attained honor club status within GAMA. Students collected $1840.59. This outreach to others was disbursed ac cordingly: Holy Childhood Mission Co-op sponsored by the Diocese - $600, Hope House of Savannah - $500, Inner City Night Shelter - $200, Ronald McDonald House - $200, Habitat for Humanity - $100, First Communion Outfits - $150, Trees for the Grounds - $90.59. The paper from the chain was then recycled when the children celebrated Earth Day. FIRST COMMUNION of Our Lady Star of the Sea (St. Marys, Ga.)
