CRS channels help to Kosovars
C atholic Relief Services, the overseas relief agency of the Catholic Church in
United States, is actively assisting the Kosovar refugees.
In Macedonia, where about 5,000 Kosovar refugees arrive through the moun
tain passes daily from Yugoslavia, a CRS team is at the border with food, water,
and bus transportation. In Albania CRS is providing food and water, hygienic
supplies, underwear, and other items of immediate need. In Montenegro, CRS is
working with the Catholic community of Tuzi near Podgoric, to distribute emer
gency assistance. In Bosnia, CRS is the only agency providing basic food items
to Kosovar refugees in transit centers, as it is the only agency with enough food
in the country.
Up-to-date information on CRS' response to the situation in Kosovo is avail
able on the website: http.V/ww.catholicrelief org.
Financial support in this great task can be sent to Catholic Relief Services at
P.O. Box 17090, Baltimore Md 21203-7090.
