Annual Chicken Supper
The Church of the Most Blessed
Sacrament, Savannah, will hold its
annual Chicken Supper, Bazaar, and
Carnival on, Saturday, April 24 from
11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the school
gym. There will be crafts, games and
rides for everyone. The menu: 1/2 fried
chicken, green beans, potato salad, and
roll. Dinners are $5.00 each and free
delivery is available on orders of 10 or
more dinners. One adult ticket will
serve two children. Blessed Sacrament
is located on the comer of Victory
Drive and Waters Avenue.

Annual Chicken Dinner
Saint Stephen Church, Hinesville,
will hold its annual Chicken Dinner on
Saturday, Saturday, April 24 from
11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The meal
includes either 1/2 chicken or 1/4
chicken with baked beans, choice of
either cole slaw or potato salad, bread
and drink. 1/2 meal is $5.00 and 1/4
meal is $3.00. The church is located at
399 Woodland Drive, Hinesville. Tick
ets may be purchased at the door.

Third Liturgical Music
Workshop Dates Set
The third workshop in the Music
Ministry Series will be held June
3-6. The workshop is designed for
choir members, musicians, and music
directors. It will be held in Birming
ham, Alabama. This workshop is
sponsored by the Foundation for
Liturgical Music, Inc., (FLM) a non
profit ecumenical organization. There
are ten expert faculty members sched
uled for this year’s conference to be
held at Samford University, Birming
ham, Alabama. There will be a con
cert on Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. at
Our Lady of the Valley Church featur
ing all of the faculty members and a
choir of the workshop participants.

“Sacraments for the Third Millen
nium” is the topic for the 1999
Visions in Faith program at the Rock
Hill Oratory. Father Tom Richstatter,
OFM will present an overview of
sacraments for the contemporary
church from Sunday, June 13 through
Wednesday, June 16. The seven ses
sions offered by Father Richstatter
will continue the work of his recent
book from Saint Anthony Messenger

In keeping with the teaching and pas
toral ministry of this conference,
Father Richstatter combines the theo
logical understanding and the pastoral
application so needed in today’s
church. The schedule of “Visions”
includes late afternoon and early
evening sessions, i.e. 4:00 p.m. and
7:00 p.m. This course is designed for
parish and pastoral leaders, teachers
and faith formation ministers, and all
those interested in deepening their
faith. Tuition for all sessions is
$100.00. Accommodations at the Ora
tory are also available; room and
board is $135.00.

Vocation Retreats
The Diocesan Vocation Office is
sponsoring a 3-day combination
sports camp-discernment retreat for
students in grades 6-9. The retreat
will be held in Savannah from June
20-23 (boys) and June 23-26 (girls).
If you are a single man, (at least a
junior in high school), and open to a
vocation to the priesthood, you are
invited to a special discernment
retreat from June 18-20, called Voca-
tio Dei. The retreat will be held at
Saint John’s Center in Savannah, and
there is no cost.

Children’s Friendship
Project for Northern
Ireland, Inc
Consider hosting a pair of Protestant
and Roman Catholic teens for six
weeks this summer from Northern Ire
land as part of the Children’s Friend
ship Project for Northern Ireland
(CFPNI). To be eligible, families need
to provide a safe, neutral setting for
the teens to get to know one another,
a single bedroom for them to share,
and daylong adult supervision. CFPNI
is a national all-volunteer, grassroots,
peace program aimed at building
trust, understanding, and friendships
among the next generation of leaders
in Northern Ireland.
