It offers a unique opportunity for believers to walk with members of the human family throughout the world who seek nourishment. The monies collected from the Diocese of Savannah were used in the following ways: Neighbors In Need Mrs. Rosemary Baughman, Director P.O. Box 3032 Albany, GA 31706 (912) 883-2872 Neighbors in Need distributed food to 317 families in two months. Of these families, many were elderly. Cutbacks in food stamps have increased the need for requests for food in Albany. South Georgia Mission Center Brother Walter Gluhm, CSC 601 So. Laurel Adel, GA 31620 (912) 896-4555 Brother Gluhm distributes Thanks giving meals to feed prisoners in over seven counties. People from the three mission churches of Lakeland, Adel and Nashville help with a project that has continued for over 20 years and has helped the prisoners feel that they can participate in a holiday and give thanks. Brother Gluhm’s works were featured last year in The Southern Cross. Saint Catherine’s Kitchen & Shelter Father Lawrence Lucree Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 1953 Torch Hill Rd. Columbus, GA 31903 Father Lucree has a kitchen and shelter that provides food and emer gency housing for folks in a five county area. All help is volunteer. Your donations help Father Lucree provide meals for the guests. Saint Francis Center Mr. Dwight Carver P.O. Box 1331 Valdosta, GA 31601 Food was purchased from the food bank and Winn Dixie to feed 40 fami lies in one month. Two businesses closed down. The people who were laid off were provided food to feed their families, while looking for new employment.
