Regis tration is May 6, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, in the parish hall. Bring the child’s birth certificate, copy of Bap tismal Certificate, Immunization Form #3227 and a “Parish Partici pation” card. Saint Michael School Auction Saint Michael School, Tybee Island, will hold its annual auction on May 6 beginning at 7:00 p.m. The theme this year will be “Tropical Paradise.” The auction will be held at the American Legion on Tybee Island. The auction consists of a silent auction and a live auction. Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple. There will be compli mentary heavy hors d’oeuvres. Sup porting the auction helps to support the school’s programs. Annual May Pilgrimage Blessed Trinity Shrine Retreat, Holy Trinity, Alabama, will hold its Annual May Pilgrimage to honor Mary on Sunday, May 7. The Pilgri mage begins in the Retreat House Chapel at 4:00 p.m. (Eastern Time), includes a Rosary walk to the Grotto of Our Lady of Grace, a Conference by Father Conrad Schmidt, ST, the Blessing of the Sick and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament. (PALS) will hold its seventeenth annual “Blessing of Pets” on Humane Sunday, May 7, to mark the beginning of “Be Kind to Animals” and “National Pet” Week. The interfaith ceremony will take place at 2:00 p.m. in Troup Square (Habersham and Harris Streets) and will be conducted by clergy repre senting various faiths. There will also be a rededication of the Canine Drinking Fountain located in the square and a memorial prayer for deceased pets. People of all faiths and pets of any kind are welcome. All pets must be leashed or in carriers. Come and thank God for our wonder ful pets and to ask his blessing for all his creatures great and small. McAuley Lecture The McAuley Lecture, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and Saint Vin cent’s Alumnae, will feature Sister Mary Aquin O’Neil, RSM, Ph.D. Her topic will be “The Holiness of the Ordinary.” Sister Mary Aquin is a co founder and director of the Mount Saint Agnes Theological Center for Women in Baltimore, Maryland. Be- Sister Mary Aquin O'Neil, RSM fore founding the Center, she taught theology at Loyola College of Balti more, Salve Regina College in Rhode Island, and the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. She has served on the national Roman Catholic dialogues with Southern Baptists and United Methodists.
